A poor Afro-American family make the best of things in the Chicago housing projects Life in the Chicago projects is never easy, However, the Evans family never gives up trying to make the best of things. While Florida and James struggle to provide for their family, their sons JJ, an aspiring painter, Micheal, the undying political crusader, causing trouble while their sister, Thelma, stands between them as the voice of reason. Living in the same building were Willona Woods, Florida's best friend from High School who provided support, love and gossip and Nathan Bookman, the overweight janitor who gave them grief and was the butt of alot of fat jokes, especially Willona who often referred to him as Buffalo Butt or Booger. Life, at least, is never boring while they fight to keep their heads above water and one day leave the projects, which they did in the series finale. Sadly, it was without James who was killed off in the 4th season. |

photos, setlist, night 1 video at hotmetaldobermans.blogspot.com Well, turns out I did have a few good shots from night two. Hilarious , cute as hell story about Aiden and Jimmy Fallon! BRA!!...a little bit of Ice of Boston crowd madness. Travis strapping the guitar around a kids neck. A guard stopped me from getting a seriously great (and well lit this time) "OK Joke's over" , which Metro actually was taken aback bye when mentioned, saying, it shouldn't have happened. They don't care if the band doesn't care, per policy... I never thought it'd happen again, after those Washington shows. The Dismemberment Plan came back... dedicated their set to Wisconsin, and layed waste to the Metro for the first of two shows. This camera had 7 beers spilled all over it at a Magic Milk and Close Hits show a few weeks back. It's been smashed on the ground face first probably 10 times. It's on it's last leg. Metro's lights did not help this bashed lens. Every song eventually turned into a white out....or a red out... Still sounds nice though. It didn't matter. Once the lights flooded the cloudy, dead lens....In almost every song, I eventually just gave up to the spectacular shit going on in front of me and jumped around. They played the usuals. Ice of Boston, with everyone in both shows rushing the stage, giggling, screaming, taking pictures. People got a little rowdy on night two, telling Travis they "love him" and asking him questions, when they only had 6 minutes left to play (10 o <b>...</b> |
