Back in college I took various vocal workshops and opera was one of them. My teacher wanted me focus on opera instead of R&B/Pop, but I thought it was a joke and never took myself seriously. So, every now and then, I'll bust out with some opera...usually in church (this vid was taken at the chapel at Castello di Amorosa, a winery in Calistoga, CA). PART 2 OF 3 - watch Part 1 First. This is such a complex episode with so many delightful scenes that I decided to upload everything, minus a few Derek-Bonnie scenes that I VERY reluctantly deleted (Bonnie was GORGEOUS with her plunging neckline, and Derek was not bad either). For example, we see Jade's complex relationship with Lucinda, and tangentially, Brian. And watch the wonderful interaction between Alison and Casey. In my opinion, they'll beat Gay Henry and Vienna as Soap Opera Digest's "Most Entertaining Couple." Casey is especially fun to watch. Loved his masturbatory joke (he promised not to touch himself until Alison returns). This is the second such joke in the last 4 years. Will also made a masturbation comment after giving sperm to inseminate Gwen. And look for the toy car as sex toy joke. FYI, a toy car really was used as a sex toy in the delightful Spanish gay movie, Dona Herlinda and Two Sons. For those who don't know, Alison doesn't actually want to have sex with Casey. She is trying to explain why she has a hotel room without telling him the truth. The room actually belongs to Lucy, who is hiding Johnny from his father, Dusty, and her father, Evil Craig. Alison promised to not reveal that they're in Oakdale so she had to explain the room when Casey saw her in the hotel. She lied and said that she got it to have sex with him despite having turned him down repeatedly in the past. As for THE KISS, the fact that Luke was drunk meant that at some level, he really wanted it. Remember that alcohol lowers one's defenses, and we end up admitting things that we normally can't/won't. And I'll say it again: Luke is very much like Lily. Both do the revenge sex thing when angered or jealous. Remember how Lily dragged Mikey from the worksite to have sex after she misinterpreted an innocent encounter between Holden and Carly? As for the drinking, it seems illogical. All he saw was Noah talking to Maddie. Is that enough to drive him to get drunk? Incidentally, the opposite was true: Maddie was actually Luke's biggest supporter. When she left for college, her last words to Noah was a warning not to break Luke's heart like he broke hers. Not good-bye or good luck, but a nasty warning to be good to Luke. But of course, Luke didn't know so he sees her as a threat. Noah's ultimate reaction to the drama was WAY overblown. "Don't touch me!!!" I mean, c'mon, what a Drama Queen. Then again, he loves old movies and that's how the heroines talked in those days. The question is whether he'll apologize to Brian. And will this tragedy actually drive Noah to Maddie? And what will be Jade's role in all this? Was she protecting Luke at Olde Towne? Or does she have other motives -- including revenge against Lucinda? Oh the drama and suspense!
