Day 90 - Letters from a Nut

I posted a status about this book a month ago, but I have to mention it one more time. This book consists of letters that Ted L. Nancy wrote to various companies. The letters were about various things...complaints, requests, suggestions, etc. There are also response letters from the companies he sent them to. For instance, he wrote a seating company asking which is the better way to exit a row at a sporting event...your butt to people's faces or your crotch to people's faces? Obviously, what he is writing is totally made up, but the customer service people who are reading the letters don't know that. Some times the responses are as funny as the actual letter he sent. If you need a good laugh give this book a try. Thanks again to my friend Doug Bratton for suggesting this. Doug is a cartoonist and he makes really funny/clever comic strips about pop culture. Check his stuff out there: popculturecomics.com/index.php & like it on Facebook www.facebook.com/pages/Pop-Culture-Shock-Therapy/17248910...

Take Time for Health Tuesday

It's All Healthy: "Paint Me Yellow and Call Me a Taxi" was not available, so I had to substitute by purchasing, "Butter My Butt and Call Me a Bisquit", a book of humorous quotes from the south.

Taking time regularly to laugh is one way I improve my health. In a world of things I can't control, my attitude is one healthy thing that I can control.

Since it is "Take Time for Health Tuesday," I took a few minutes to think what would be most healthful today. Books on healthy nutrition, exercise and cooking are all on my shelves. But a few moments to laugh outloud is just like a breath of fresh air too.

So when a pick-me-up is needed, the humor section can be almost as beneficial as exercise.

After I picked up "Butter My Butt . . . ", I found myself laughing outloud every chance I got to thumb through this very funny book.

The authors say it's a good book for some down-home truths and insights to lighten the mood in today's fast paced world becauase, "Lately, folks are feeling as jumpy as a cochroach in a frying pan."

But, "Worryin' only gives small things big shadows."

Could not have made the point better myself! ;->

Happy "Take Time for Health Tuesday" everyone.
