At a poetry event at my old high school in Lakewood, NJ, showing off some of my comedic material. These are common quotes, and well known phrases I'm sure everyone has heard in their lifetime, that I have matched with worldwide known people that I thought it fit best with, to show it off as if they were the ones who first made these quotes. - Something to note, after the quote, "I threw away everything, but the kitchen sink."- Lorena Bobbit , you can here quite a few people say "Who is that?" & "I don't know." I was sure people knew who she was. But for those that don't know, she was a woman who cut off her husband's penis, and drove away with it, and threw it into a field. I hope you get the quote now. - Also, when I did the quote "I did not, have sex... with that woman." I was supposed to say, "I did not... have, sexual, relations... with that woman." To imply the famous quote from Bill Clinton. But I guess I kind of choked a bit. It still got a laugh though. |

www.britethorn.com YouTube didn't like it. Sigh. "Animal House of Representatives" is our entry in the YouTube Nextup Competition. Its a proposed web series based on the 30 or so Tea Party Republicans currently living in their offices in the Capital to save money (even though we pay them more than $170000 a year PLUS full medical benefits.) What exactly does go on at night after the work day is done and a group of big ego politicians are running around in their underwear with lots of steam to blow off? Its not like we haven't seen a lot of misbehavior from members of Congress over the years. Take, for example, the case of Newt Gingrich who was Speaker of the House of Representatives during the Impeachment of President Bill Clinton. As Speaker it was his job to oversee the Impeachment Proceedings -- even though he himself was carrying on an extra-marital with a congressional (and not for the first time! He already went through one divorce and re-marriage for cheating.) So there should be plenty of fodder for story-lines in what we hope will prove to be a web series worthy to stand int he company of The Daily Show, Colbert Report and Bill Maher's lofty shadow.
